The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative held its annual luncheon, drawing nearly 900 community members to raise funds and awareness for the number one killer of women: heart disease. The event featured inspiring speakers, interactive health stations such as hands-only CPR and blood pressure checks, and a supportive environment for survivors and women of all ages to take action against this disease.
AEP Texas was a sponsor of the Go Red for Women Luncheon, and Regional External Affairs Manager Gricelda Calzada served on the event's Executive Leadership Team. She noted that these efforts help address a major women’s health challenge while reinforcing AEP Texas’s role as a committed community partner in Corpus Christi.
“Our sponsorship translates into measurable impact: more research grants awarded, widespread educational campaigns, and community programs that save lives and reduce the burden of heart disease,” she said.
