The AEP Texas Foundation recently awarded a $35,000 grant to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo to support a critical HVAC replacement and renovation project at the organization's main facility. The existing air-conditioning system, which had been in service for more than two decades, was struggling to keep pace with the intense South Texas heat and required immediate replacement to ensure the facility could continue serving local youth.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo provides a safe, welcoming environment where children and teens can learn, grow, and thrive through athletic programs, educational enrichment activities, leadership development opportunities, and mentorship from caring adults. The upgraded HVAC system will help create a more comfortable and reliable space for the thousands of young people who depend on the facility each year, ensuring year-round access to programs that support personal growth and healthy lifestyles.
By investing in this important facility improvement, the AEP Texas Foundation is helping strengthen a vital community resource and supporting the organization's mission to provide local youth with opportunities to develop the skills and support networks needed for future success.
