AEP Texas Foundation presented a $10,000 grant to the Ruthe B. Cowl Rehabilitation Center in Laredo. The rehabilitation center is a nonprofit outpatient facility that provides comprehensive therapy services to children and adults with disabilities. This donation will support the 10th Respite Care Camp for parents and caregivers of children with special needs.
“This grant highlights our commitment to supporting organizations that provide vital care and resources to families and individuals with special needs,” AEP Texas External Affairs Manager Danny Treviño. “By contributing to initiatives like the Respite Care Camp, we help ensure that families receive much-needed support, and children are given opportunities to thrive in safe and nurturing environments.”
The summer camp will give families opportunities to rest while knowing their children are cared for in a safe and supportive environment with licensed and experienced professionals. In a statement from the rehabilitation center, Executive Director Jacqueline Rodriguez said the grant will help the organization immensely.
