AEP Texas crews from the Alice Service Center joined more than 200 students at the San Diego High School College Career Fair to give students the chance to learn about careers in the energy industry and explore future opportunities within the company. 

Employees from the Alice Distribution team, Alice Customer Design, Transmission, and Substation departments allowed students to try on personal protective equipment and handle tools used in the field. Employees also discussed their day-to-day roles, the skills needed in their fields, and the different paths available at AEP Texas. This reassured them that AEP Texas is comprised of people with a wide range of skills and talents that also apply to the office.

AEP Texas was honored to participate and support the next generation of future workers in South Texas. Fun Fact: AEP Texas Line Mechanic-B Rafael Saenz is a proud 2017 graduate of San Diego High School.
